I am SO thankful for Groundwire. It has molded me so much and changed me in ways that I am proud of. I love just talking with people and encouraging them but there are definitely chats that get overwhelming-- sometimes I just don't even know where to start. I had one that stands out to me, my favorite chat. I was talking to 2 people at the time and a third chatter was waiting to be accepted. I knew it would be tough to keep track but I was the only coach on and I didn't want to ignore her. This conversation started by the lady telling me that her daughter in law basically ruined the relationship between this lady and her son and the 2 kids he and his wife have. The first thing that came to mind was Job, the man who endured so much suffering but came to be closer to God. The lady said her life actually did remind her of Job, too. From there we had a fairly smooth convo in terms of ideas. I just tried to encourage her and just wanted to pray with her which she gladly accepted and afterwards told me that my prayer was beautiful, it covered everything she wanted, and that I had been so encouraging to her. I was a little surprised because I didn't feel like I had done that much. She then said a prayer for me. I didn't even ask her to. It was so sweet. I actually teared up because God's love was just so visible in this conversation. I have had many other great convo's but this was by far my most encouraging because this woman was able to see God's hand and God's promise in the midst of her struggles, and she had strong faith and was still able to share His love though she was weak.
